A person's disability shouldn't determine their level of potential.
A person's ability is much stronger than their disability.

An Unforgettable Day in the Rockies!

Early September brought warm weather and blue skies, setting the stage for a special outing for our clients and their dedicated Community Disability Support Workers (CDSW). Together, we embarked on a memorable adventure to Quarry Lake in Canmore, Alberta, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

The day was filled with laughter, connection, and outdoor fun. Our clients and their CDSWs embraced the refreshing waters of Quarry Lake, some swimming while others enjoyed stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). Onshore, we enjoyed hearty packed lunches, fun tunes, games of badminton, relaxing by the lakeside, and soaking up the tranquility of nature. This day was more than just an outing; it was a celebration of community, inclusion, and the joy of shared experiences.

Heroes in Action: A Visit from Balzac Fire Station 107!

In October, Above and Beyond Care welcomed some local heroes from Balzac Fire Station 107 for an exciting and educational visit to our group home! Firefighters brought their big red trucks and shared essential fire safety tips with our clients, who were thrilled to see the trucks up close. They also answered questions and engaged in meaningful conversations, making fire safety both fun and memorable for everyone.

This visit was part of our ongoing efforts to promote safety and build connections between our community and first responders. It’s safe to say, our clients and Community Disability Support Workers were thoroughly impressed! Thank you, Station 107, for making such a positive impact!

Joy and Festivity: Celebrating the Holidays Together!

Last December, Above and Beyond Care lit up the holiday season with an unforgettable evening of joy, laughter, and celebration! Clients, staff, and friends came together for a magical night filled with dinner, lively dancing, and heartfelt moments during our much-anticipated awards ceremony.

Our incredible clients were celebrated for their remarkable personal growth. This year marked the debut of our Peer Recognition Awards, honouring the dedication and hard work of our amazing Community Support Disability Workers. The dance floor came alive as everyone joined in to celebrate the close of another successful year. The evening was a true testament to the strength of our Above & Beyond Care family, reminding us all of the incredible connections that make our community shine!
